Customer Service: Recognizes exceptional service, above and beyond what is expected within the scope of their normal business operation. Successful nominees have found ways to exceed expectations and positively influence others.
Volunteer of the Year - Sponsored by Peninsula Co-op: Recognizes an individual or community group for their extraordinary service or support to individuals, families, non-profits, charitable organizations, community service groups or events, or local humanitarian causes. It is not awarded to registered Not-For-Profit Organizations or Charities. Please nominate those in the Non-Profit Organization category. It is also not awarded to those whose paid function is voluntary management or fundraising. Consider a different category for those individuals.
Non-Profit Organization - Sponsored by Cowichan Green Community: Registered Non-Profit Societies and Charitable Organizations. Recognition for outstanding contributions to the community, demonstrating innovation, engagement and impact through their projects, programs and services.
Green Business - Sponsored by Economic Development Cowichan: Recognition for success in operating a business that implements environmentally sensitive and sustainable practices that solve, reduce or avoid environmental impact beyond what is expected within the scope of their normal business operation.
Young Entrepreneur - Sponsored by Coastal Community Credit Union: Business owners under 40 who started a business within the last three years. Nominees demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and have excellent prospects for continued growth.
Art in Business - Sponsored by Live Edge Design: Recognizes an individual or organization with an evolving business in the visual, performing or digital arts. This acknowledges their business practices, not artistic merits. Successful nominees will demonstrate innovative business practices, influence and leadership in the arts, and community commitment.
Business Achievement: Recognition for operating a successful business or social enterprise that demonstrates exceptional initiative, community involvement, sound business management, creativity and consistent growth. Three Business Achievement Awards are presented under the following subcategories:
